- This DVD was released on August 1, 2006, by Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures.
- At 196 minutes, this is the longest Blue's Clues DVD ever.
- This is the second Blue's Clues home release to be released exclusively on DVD.
- This is also the last DVD to include a season 2 episode.
- "Blue's Birthday", "Blue's Big Treasure Hunt", and "Blue's Big Pajama Party" normally use still Nick Jr. in a black screen, but in this DVD, those logos got plastered by the 1999 Nick Jr. Productions logo that was used from the 2000 episodes of Season 3 onwards.
- This DVD includes eight episodes, one from season two, three from the third season, one from the fourth season, one from the fifth season, another from the sixth season, and another featuring a Blue's Room episode.
- This DVD is rereleased with the Blue's Clues & You! DVD release of Story Time with Blue in celebration of the original series' 25th anniversary.
- Blue's Big Pajama Party will later be released on the Nick Jr compilation DVD Nick Jr. Favorites: Volume 2.
