Blue's Clues Live! was a live touring show based on children's TV show Blue's Clues produced by Nickelodeon Theatrical and SFX Family Entertainment[1] that toured nationally from 1999 to 2005. On March 8, 2022, a new show based on Blue's Clues & You! was announced, which began touring in Fall of 2022[2].

Blue's Clues Live was produced and developed by Traci Page Johnson, Angela C. Santomero and Todd Kessler, the creators of the eponymous TV show, and directed by Gip Hoppe. Blue and the other animated characters were portrayed by puppets and large costumes designed and built by Yvette Helin. The sets were designed by David Gallo, an acclaimed scenic designer whose previous works include several Broadway shows, and the music was scored by Nick Balaban and Michael Rubin, the original show composers. Audience members were given their own Handy Dandy Notebooks to keep track of clues as the show progressed[3]. A new character named Curt (later Curtanne), a living stage curtain, would keep kids entertained during intermissions. The roles of Steve and Joe were not played by their respective TV actors, but rather, seasoned stage actors.

Blue's Clues show at Dreamworld

A shorter, more downscale Blue's Clues stage show was performed at the theme park Dreamworld in Queensland, Australia from 2001–05. Steve remained the host character throughout its entire run, despite Joe hosting the TV show at the time.

Additionally, a show which seemingly combined elements from both the shows also toured across Australia, and was primarily performed at shopping centers. This production used minimal sets and unique props, such as a giant Handy Dandy Notebook.

After the show stopped touring nationally, the rights to both shows were sold to Theatrical Rights Worldwide, who would lease the show out to theater companies around the world. Mascot costumes of Blue and Magenta, made by Costume Specialists in Ohio, were available to rent exclusively for these productions. All other aspects of the show (set design, wardrobe and props) were handled by the licensees, resulting in production value of varying quality. As of 2021, the rights to Blue's Clues Live! were handled by Dalro, an organization based in South Africa, but both shows were later removed from their website.
