Trivia[]

  • This episode is a World Superhero Day special.
  • Paprika's previous voice actress, Jenna Marie Castle, has now been replaced by Corrine Hoffman.
    • Starting with this episode, this is also the first time where Paprika speaks more fluently. However, she is still not grown yet, and won't until the next episode where she becomes a toddler.
  • The episode's title is based on the 1970s cartoon Superfriends.
  • Kathryn Avery has officially been replaced by Kelly Nigh for the voice of Tickety since Blue's Big Musical.
  • Mr. Salt's orange juice pops being ready at 2:00 is an exact reference to "Blue's Surprise at Two O'Clock!" and would later be seen again in The Snack Chart.
  • In 2001 they've made A Coloring Book Version Inspired By The Episode
  • The drawing of the Steve version of "Stripe Man" remains the same in all international versions of this episode.
  • At the end of the Mailtime Song, Steve didn't wail out "Mail". Instead, a trumpet sound was heard, then Steve says "The mail's here" in his superhero voice. But in the reboot, Josh says "Mail" like usually he does.
  • After Steve says "That we wanna do", he didn't put up his jazz hands because he is Stripe Man.
  • However, in the UK version, Kevin puts up his jazz hands and says "Yeah!" before putting on his superhero mask down.
  • Steve did not says "Handy Dandy" in this episode, instead he said, "Super Duper". Which is ironic considering Kevin, who is the host of the United Kingdom adaptation of the show says, "Super Duper" instead of "Handy Dandy".
  • This is the first time Steve actually gets to see Blue leave a clue.
  • Sidetable Drawer's superhero outfit and identity "Wonder Drawer" is based on Wonder Woman.
  • This is the second time Steve draws bubbles.
  • Frank ties The Runner's shoes just like Franny tied Frankie's shoes in season 5's I Did That!.
  • When Frank turns into "The Cheerer-upper", the thinking time music of Pretend Time is heard.
  • This was the last episode to air before 9/11.
  • This episode was later remade in Blue's Clues & You! as The Thinking Squad.
  • In this episode, Steve sings, "Thinking Squad skidoo, to the rescue!" rather than "Blue skidoo, we can too."
  • This was the shortest credit sequence for a David B. Levy episode in Season 4. Besides Blue, only Shovel, Pail, and Mailbox appeared, and Mailbox came first.
  • The "Incredibly Helpful Friend" idea would be used in a PBS Kids show: Super Why! but as Super You.
