Trivia[]

  • This is the second time that the show has broke from custom in regard to the show's hallmark game. The first time it happened was in "Joe's Surprise Party," when other characters hosted the episode and played the game instead of Joe.
    • This is also the first Blue's Clues episode (outside of the Blue's Room segments) where Blue gets to be the hostess of an episode, although Joe does help Blue get the hang of the game. The second time where Blue would be the hostess would be in "Meet Blue's Baby Brother".
      • During the Thinking Time segment, this is also the first time Blue sits in the thinking chair, although Joe sits beside the thinking chair to assist Blue in putting the clues together.
  • This isn't the last time that Joe wears his famous orange shirt for most of the episode. He will wear it one more time (with overalls) in "Bluestock" and will wear it for the last time when pretending to be a king in the Blue's Room episode "Knights of the Snack Table (Blue's Room)."
  • Blue interacts with Sidetable Drawer instead of Joe.
  • This is Joe's only talking clue appearance and the only time his animated counterpart is voiced by Brianna Gentilella.
  • This is the second episode where one of the hosts skidoo before the viewer does, the first being Joe Gets a Clue where Steve skidoos first instead of Joe.
  • This is the only time where Blue draws in Joe's notebook.
  • This is the second time that Joe has been a clue.
  • This could be Joe's version of "Blue's Surprise at Two O'Clock", "Something To Do Blue" and "Hide and Seek".
  • This is the only time Joe doesn't sing the Mailtime song with Blue, but he is left in the backyard and is forced to watch her sing in the house alone.
  • This is the third time that Mailtime happens immediately after discussing the first clue, the first two were The Baby's Here! and Joe Gets a Clue.
  • This is the seventh time where We Just Got a Letter was not sung.
  • This is the 4th episode where Blue skidooed Twice from Blue's ABC Time Activities, Blue's Art Time Activities, and Blue's 123 Time Activities.
  • This is the second time the viewers interact with the video letter.
    • First was in The Lost Episode!.
      • Coincidentally, both of these episodes had girls in the video letter.
  • In the Blue's Room segment, there is a Polka Dots version of Blue's Clues called "Polka Dots' Puzzles".
    • Roary says "Hi, Blue!" with the audio taken from Love Day.
  • This is the second time Joe pretends to be Little Red Riding Hood. The first was in "Can You Help?", although, he did not dress like Little Red Riding Hood like in this episode.
  • At the end of Joe's show, the cheers and applause sound effect from Blue's Big Musical Movie, What's New, Blue? and 100th Episode Celebration was heard. How come the cheers and applause sound effect can be heard when Joe had his show at the Blue's Clues House? He was only putting it on for Blue and the viewers.
  • This is the first time since Thankful that Sidetable appears in the credits.
  • Joe wears an orange squared shirt for most of this episode, but he changes into a yellow squared shirt when pretending to be a duck, then a green squared shirt when pretending to be Little Red Riding Hood, but he did not wear Red, Blue & Purple.
  • This is the only episode not to feature Pawprints, except in the intro and credits.
  • The footage of Joe waving in the skidoo segment was used for the Nick Jr. intro in 2004.
    • Also the puppet version of Blue is in the intro too, as well as the cartoon version of her.
  • When Joe was performing Little Red Riding Hood, his voice cracks.
  • On The Gritty+, Tickety Tock says HOORAY!.
  • In the credits, a new version of upside-down Blue debuts. But in this episode, her ball is rolling around the credits at the same time. It stopped on top but Blue is at the bottom. She couldn't get her ball until the credits start scrolling. She was patient and got it. For some unknown reason, Tickety has a new animation for only this episode, which also happened to Mailbox in Meet Polka Dots!. And finally, Sidetable Drawer gets her own regular animation, but she is giant in this episode. Then in this episode first, the rest of the characters scroll along with the credits. In order they are: Paprika (only credit appearance), Cinnamon (only credit appearance), Mr. Salt, Mrs. Pepper, Slippery, Shovel & Pail (last credit appearances), Polka Dots by himself (only credit appearance), the box containing Blue's Room (only credit appearance), Key, and Moona in The Legend of the Blue Puppy. Then when the credits stop scrolling, Blue appears in a close-up, peeking over. But in this episode, she hops to the right to get her ball and close the book, instead of ducking down like in The Fairy Tale Ball and Bluestock.
  • In the episode's skidoo segment, Baby Joe from Blue's First Holiday appears in the crowd.
  • When Blue chases Joe who is on a cloud in the skidoo segment, she rides the rocket ship with a star on it, just like the one she rode with Polka Dots while Polka Dots sang the Outer Space song with her in Meet Polka Dots!, except for the fact that it has metal wings, is polka-dotted, and has a back made from buttons in that episode.
  • In the Blue's Room segment, the answer to Polka Dots' Puzzles is a party for the viewer.
  • This is the only time Blue gets the mail solo. Another character who got the mail in "Meet Polka Dots!" is Boris.

Goofs[]

  • At one point, the close captioning reads that Blue is barking "We are looking for Blue's Clues", but technically, she's actually barking "We are looking for Joe's Clues". This also happens with the line "What Blue's Clues were all about", where she's actually barking "What Joe's Clues were all about".
  • In the Mailtime segment, when Blue howls "MAIL!" and when she waves to Mailbox, her paws suddenly turn into hands.
