Trivia[]

  • Jennifer Brown, a relative of Content Consultant Laura G. Brown, is one of Joe's Friends in this episode.
  • Joe did not say "Blue Skidoo, We Can Too." Instead, he says "I'll Skidoo To A Playdate With You". Blue was absent.
  • This is the last time to see Joe skidoo back home on-screen.
  • This is the last Blue's Clues episode to mainly take place in the Blue's Clues House.
    • This is also the last time where Joe gets a letter and thinks on the standard Thinking Chair in the Blue's Clues House.
    • Similarly, this is the last time to feature the zooming out of the house at the end of the episode before the closing credits.
    • This is the last Blue's Clues episode to see Joe skidoo back home.
  • The kids cheers and applause sound effect was used after Joe and the viewers sing the "Me and You" song and Joe bows and the viewers loved it.
  • Sidetable Drawer and Mr. Salt appear in the episode, but they do not have a playdate with the viewers.
  • This is also the last episode where Mailtime happens before the second clue gets found.
  • During the Mailtime segment:
    • The Mailtime chorus is not heard.
    • This is the second episode where Mailbox sings his own song---the Mailtime song with the first being "What Does Blue Want to Do on a Rainy Day?", but, however, he sings completely alone, all the way, this is the only time in the original series where this is the case.
    • He also sings the last note correctly, unlike some other episodes.
    • Mailbox also delivers the letter in a different direction.
    • The viewer gives Joe the letter instead of Mailbox, just like the goose who mistakenly did it in "Animals in Our House?".
    • Instead of "We Just Got a Letter", Joe sings "You Brought Me a Letter".
      • The third time Joe says it, he uses one of Steve's movements.
  • Joe wears the same formal outfit from the "100th Episode Celebration" in the skidoo segment, but this time with a hat.
  • The "Wheel of Playdates" is a parody on the popular game show "Wheel of Fortune", hosted by Pat Sajak (who will be replaced by Ryan Seacrest) and Vanna White, as the toy is announced in the same manner as said show's audience chant.
  • This is the fourth time water is the first clue, the other times being, "What Experiment Does Blue Want to Try?", "Blue Is Frustrated", Where Is Magenta (A Blues Clues Discovery Series Book) and "Blue's Big Car Trip".
  • Joe wears a purple squared shirt in this episode.
  • This is the last episode where the phrase "Oh, good" is used.
  • When Mr. Salt grabs onto the hose with one hand, he says Slippery's catchphrase, even though Slippery is absent.
  • This episode bids farewell to Slippery during the credits altogether, ending in his proper position.
  • Mr. Salt appears without Mrs. Pepper, except for during the credits.
  • Even though firefighters is not played in the Blue's Clues House, it is actually played in the Blue's Room segment.
  • Before Joe (in a tuxedo) goes out of the picture frame, he pretends to be Periwinkle, making it appear.
  • When Joe skidoos out of the picture frame, he goes back to his normal outfit, just like Steve (with his raincoat) in Steve Gets the Sniffles and Stormy Weather. Joe also goes back to his normal outfit, just like himself (with his smock) in Let's Write!.
  • Appearing in this episode is water from Blue's Big Car Trip, singing a different tune with a splishing and splashing sound.
  • When Blue's playroom friends say goodbye, Roary imitates a siren when he gives Polka Dots a piggyback ride.
  • In the letter, restaurant is played by the kids just like in the episodes "Café Blue" by everyone and "The Anything Box" by Shovel and Pail.

Goofs[]

  • In the theme song, right after Joe sings "Come on in!", the "Bow Bow Bow" audio from Season 5 is mistakenly used.
  • When Joe is about to draw the first clue (water), the UK spiral for Joe's notebook is seen.
  • At the end of the episode, when Joe said "Well, thanks for playing with us," the captions said, "Well, thanks for playing us." The word "with" was left out in the sentence, which is poor grammar.
  • In the credits, the sound effects for Blue's blinking while upside-down are backwards for some unknown reasons. And the last shake of Mr. Salt & Mrs. Pepper was muted.
  • Video Engineer Jim Meeks is credited as Jim Meek.
