Thaddeus Quetin Mumford, Jr. (born February 8, 1951 in Washington D.C.) is a television producer and writer. He has written and produced for a number of television series throughout his career varying different genres namely, The Cosby Show, A Different World,, M*A*S*H,  Maude, and Good Times among others

In 1973, Mumford won a Primetime Emmy Award for his writing in The Electric Company. In 1978, a Sesame Street character was named after him named Dr. Thad in the recurring skit, "Dr. Thad and the Medications", Mumford also performed the voice for the character.

Blue's Clues

In 1996, Mumford was hired as one of the first crew members for Blue's Clues. During Season One, he was the junior writer. Starting with Season Two, Mumford starting working on and off on Blue's Clues, writing occasional episodes that deal with problems. In late Season Two through Season Three, he was the consulting producer of the show
